What we collect from this website

When you use our contact form we collect your name, masjid or organisation, phone, email, suburb and state, and your message. Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We never sell or rent your details, and we never share them with anyone except the services we need to run our business (listed below).

Your masjid's community data

When we build a system for a masjid, the community's details (for example worshippers, volunteers, students, donors and new Muslims) belong to the masjid, which decides who can see them. Whether someone is Muslim, or new to Islam, is sensitive information. It is only collected with the person's consent, and only shown to the people who need it to follow that person up.

We only access a masjid's data to set up, support and fix its system, or when the masjid asks us to. If a masjid leaves, we hand over a full export within 30 days and then delete our copies.

Where information is stored

We use trusted providers, some of which store data outside Australia (for example in the United States):

We take reasonable steps to keep information secure, including private logins, encrypted connections and giving access only to people who need it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing syed.razi@salamdigital.com.au. We reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with how we handle a privacy concern, please tell us first. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
